Trevor O. Jones

Mr. Jones has had a distinguished career of over 45 years as an industrial executive. He has received 15 patents and published numerous scientific papers. In the past, Mr. Jones has been responsible for starting greenfield product development organizations in the United States and overseas while working for General Motors Corporation and TRW, Inc. Over his career, Mr. Jones has formed many small to medium-sized industrial joint ventures and has served as Chairman and CEO of large companies, such as Libbey-Owens-Ford Co. and Echlin, Inc.. More recently, he was appointed Chairman of the Ohio Fuel Cell Coalition and received its Life Time Achievement award. In 2008 he received the Ellis Island Gold Medal of Honor. Mr. Jones is a past Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, Cleveland State University, a past member of the Industrial Advisory Committee to the Department of Biomedical Engineering, CWRU and a member of the Executive Development Committee of the Cleveland Clinic Heart Center.

Michael D. Peck
Managing Partner, Open Prairie Ventures

Mr. Peck has been a partner with Open Prairie Ventures since 2006. Since that time, he has been extensively involved in portfolio and deal management, as well as fund raising for the firm’s early-stage, life science, agricultural and technology-focused funds. During his tenure at OPV, Mike has served on the boards of four portfolio companies including KC BioMedix in Shawnee, Kansas. Prior to joining OPV, Michael served at the Kansas Technology Enterprise Corporation, managing the firm’s investment fund while assisting with legislative matters. Previously, Mike was a senior executive for two early-stage dot-com era technology companies in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Mike has also worked as a management consultant for Accenture in their strategic management consulting practice advising clients such as Hewlett Packard, Compaq Computer and Nordstrom. In addition, Mr. Peck is the member representative of Open Prairie Ventures to the National Venture Capital Association and the Mid-America Healthcare Investors Network. He received a BS degree in Engineering from the University of Kansas, an M.B.A. degree from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University and a Master’s of Engineering Management degree from the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University.


Steven W. Fox

Mr. Fox has been with Quest Capital Alliance since he formed the company in 2000. Quest is a group of private equity funds based in Springfield, MO that currently has investments in 14 companies. Prior to Quest, Mr. Fox was a senior executive with Boatmen’s Bank of Southern Missouri for 12 years and remained with them following their acquisition by the Bank of America. Steve’s career in the financial service industry also includes positions with Cherrywood Development Trust where he worked on several private equity transactions and IPO’s, and First National Bank in Dallas. Steve received his MBA and BSBA from the University of Missouri – Columbia.


John Chandler Kraczkowsky
President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Kraczkowsky has spent 23 years in the life science industry, over half of that involving medical device startups. His background features commercialization experience in several medical specialties, including Cardiology, Cardio/vascular, Plastic/Cosmetic, ENT, Gynecology and General Surgery. Most recently, he was the interim CEO at Advanced Headache Interventions. From 2002 to 2008, he was with aesthetic implant manufacturer, Coapt Systems, where he served as the Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing. From 2000 to 2002, Mr. Kraczkowsky was the President, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Revitalon, an early stage E-healthcare company focused on providing web-based solutions to the sleep disorder market. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of Marketing and Distributor Sales for FemRx (J&J) an early stage medical device company focused on the emerging women’s health field. His earlier experience includes sales, marketing and business development for Meadox Medicals and SciMed Life Systems (both Boston Scientific) and Davis + Geck (Syneture). Mr. Kraczkowsky has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

D. Michael Litscher
Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer


Mr. Litscher co-founded KC BioMedix in 2006 and served as the company’s first CEO. Prior to 2006, he was a General Manager with the biotech firm, Serologicals Corporation, where he was responsible for the start-up of its Lawrence, KS operation. His other roles have included Chief Operating Officer/Vice President of Operations and board member for Lasersight, a surgical laser manufacturer and GM/VP of Operations for Frantz Medical. Mr. Litscher was also a member the management team responsible for the start up of the CT and MRI businesses for General Electric Medical Systems. His senior management experience is complemented by over 30 years of medical device experience in operations, quality systems and regulatory compliance. Mr. Litscher earned his BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Arizona and his MBA from the University of Wisconsin.

David Stalling, PhD
Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Stalling is also a company co-founder. In his early career, he was an industry pioneer and leader in the fields of instrumentation and chromatography, filing a total of thirteen related patents, publishing 85 articles, and successfully launching a number of new products and companies. Among his various roles he has been COO of Primus (now Trinity Bioscience), CEO of Laboratory Automation, (an ABC Labs spin-off) and SVP/Co-founder of ABC Labs, a leader in the field of chromatography. As a NASA Pre-Doctoral Fellow, his research methodology and instrumentation were used in the search for life molecules during the Apollo 11-15 Lunar Missions.
